Maurten Drink Mix 160

18.00

Used by the top performing marathoners all over the world, Maurten Drink Mix 160 18-Servings combines nutrition and science to create one of the most efficient hydration formulas available. Once digested, the acidity of your stomach transforms the mix into a hydrogel which encapsulates a high amount of carbs and transports them to be effectively absorbed within your intestines resulting in hydration and energy. With only 5 simple and natural ingredients, the flavor is neutral and GI distress is avoided since the gel is not broken down in your stomach. This mix should be consumed before, during, or after your runs.

*Note: the Maurten 160 version features half of the calories and carbs as well as slightly less sodium than the Maurten 320

INSTRUCTIONS
Mix the content of each sachet with 500 ml of water and shake well until dissolved. Be careful, you need to get the ratio right for the hydrogel technology to work. The mix is designed to be mixed with water with <40mg/L calcium content. Higher levels can affect how it's dissolved. Consume the sports drink minutes before, during and or directly after activity.

AMOUNT OF ENERGY
Studies have shown that our bodies can make use of up to 90 grams of carbohydrates per hour. One Drink Mix 160 sachet, mixed with 500 ml of water – contains 40 grams of carbohydrates.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Drink Mix 160 is built on hydrogel technology*. When you mix it with water, you'll get a liquid sports drink containing a high concentration of maltodextrin and fructose. The sports drink instantly converts to hydrogel in the acidity of the stomach. The hydrogel enables a smooth transportation of the drink through the stomach to the intestine where the water, salt and carbohydrates are absorbed.
